Ever wanted to learn how to create a incredibly professional photo that looks like it was shot in a huge studio using just one camera and one light? International Award Winning Professional Photographer and Photojournalist Erik Holladay-McCann and Award Winning Photographer Chuck Rasco will show you how to flash paint an classic car with just one handheld speedlite and a remote, and teach you how to composite and layer blend all of images captured into one amazing looking photo.

A tripod is required along with a speedlite or flash that can be manually or remotely triggered. A remote trigger is the best so you will not have to be running back and forth to fire your flash. Erik will have a set of triggers to share but it is first come… A laptop or computer with photoshop is needed for the composite and layer blending, but you can watch and take notes also. A working knowledge of your camera and photoshop is needed but not required. Erik and Chuck will not be teaching basic functions of camera or photoshop. Advanced Beginners or above would be great for this MeetUp.

This technique can be used on anything from small products like wine bottles to large exteriors of homes and buildings.

Schedule
Erik and Chuck will teach the compositing and layer blending method from 5pm to 6pm, at the Holladay Photography studio, 1633 Fillmore Street, Denver.

We will then head out to a location tbd to photograph the cars from 6pm – 6:30pm, seeing a demo on how to organize the light painting photoshoots and some techniques to get good images for the layer blending. You will then have the rest of the time to unleash your new knowledge shooting some awesome cars. We will have show quality classic and modern cars at the Workshop.

About Chuck Rasco
Since picking up a film camera over twenty years ago, Chuck has continually pushed himself to learn new techniques and advance his understanding of the art of capturing light. Upon moving to Colorado in 2008, he was introduced to an entirely new environment that has provided endless opportunities to witness the beauty of nature. Experiencing the grandness of the landscapes and the vastness of the Milky Way skies above, Chuck is always looking for new ways to showcase the two together, and create images that many may only see in their imagination.
